Picking a decent foundation for my skin tone isn't easy. Well, I'm very pale. Almost every drugstore foundation out there is too dark for me, as well as most of the high-end ones. Also, I'm really picky when it comes to choosing foundation. I'm looking for a nice coverage, staying power and a lightweight formula that wouldn't feel heavy on my skin. May I present you the foundation that has all the abilities I had mentioned. It's Yves Rocher Comfort Cream Foundation.
The foundation has 8 shades to choose from, divided to cool and warm toned. I picked up the lightest shade called "Pinky 100" for very light complexion and it was a good pick because the shade really fits my skin tone.
It comes in a glass jar (sadly no pump), which holds 40 ml of the product. The formula is very creamy and moisturising and because of that I would not recommend it to all the oily girls out there as it may wear off too easily. On my dry skin though, it works wonders.
To cover your whole face you need the smallest amount. I blend it on my face with a damp sponge, set with a translucent powder and it really gives a flawless, dewy finish. I really like the way it looks on my skin. On my "better days" I don't even have to add any concealer cause the foundation does the job.
On my dry skin it lasts for about 8 hours, needs some touch ups then. I'll usually just use a concealer and a blotting sheet to mattify it a bit and I'm good to go for another few hours.
Without a doubt the biggest advantage of this foundation is that it covers very well (medium to full), without being heavy or cakey on the skin. Whenever I put it on, I don't really feel like I'm wearing any foundation.
The only downside of this product is that it has a strong perfume-y scent that can be irritating sometimes as it lingers on the skin for a long time. Also, Yves Rocher products can be quite hard to get. You can most likely buy them online, Yves Rocher has international websites. They hold lots of sales, exclusive offers and always add a bunch of free samples to your order.
